Although shops and classrooms are empty, learning is still taking place at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center. The staff has been busy over the past couple of weeks converting their curricula to online platforms after Oklahoma State Superintendent Hofmeister ordered schools to close.
Students and teachers will use Schoology, Google Classroom, email, Facebook Live and Zoom, etc. to connect with staff and patrons.
Superintendent Tony Hancock reported that staff was already familiar with using a variety of platforms for doing business and has been quite impressed with everyone’s commitment to making continued construction and services possible. The staff at CKTC are also participating in virtual staff meetings to keep up-to-date on the situation.
Currently, staff working from home during the April shelter-in-place decree. Local businesses are encouraged to reach out to CKTC’s Business and Industry Services representatives for assistance and resources. With classes resuming online Monday, April 6, students should stay in contact with their instructors.
