School Board Leaders Recognized in January
Caddo Kiowa Technology Center recognized their Board of Education on January 13, 2025 during a regular board meeting. Caddo Kiowa Technology Center serves 13 communities and 14 partner schools. The Board of Education consist of five (5) board members.
Each member is committed to providing every opportunity possible to students within their serving communities. “This is our opportunity to say a special thank you to our BOE during one of our regular board meetings. Our BOE not only share their time but their vision for CKTC. We are proud of them and the dedication they have to making our technology center the best it can be!” stated Superintendent Jennie Nunn.
CKTC employees prepared a gift basket for each board member to show their appreciation for the time they spend to make CKTC a positive working environment.
Our Board of Education members and the number of years served are as follows:

CKTC, in conjunction with Carnegie Cotton Gin, hosted one of the largest Continuing Education meetings to date. The room was filled at the Gin and an education day was presented to farmers with the private applicator and certified applicator license. OSU Extension speakers educated attendees on current topics on cotton, corn leafhopper and corn stunt disease as well as weed resistance in wheat.

Kristina Bates out of Yukon is a traveling educator for the Mane Culture. She has 13 years of experience in the cosmetology field and was chosen to go to New York fashion week to do hair and makeup. She also won best stylist in northwest Oklahoma in the year 2020.
Recently, she stopped by CKTC and taught cosmetology students many new techniques and showcased new products.

Winter will be the theme of this introductory, casual, and fun cake-decorating class! This course teaches you how to create beautifully themed winter cakes. In this two-evening class, you’ll learn how to create a themed cake while learning basic techniques such as stacking, applying the buttercream crumb coat, and getting smooth sides on the final buttercream layer. You'll also learn different types of piping designs. This time of year is a perfect for baking and decorating cakes. Come by yourself or bring a friend.

ELF ON A SHELF, CKTC edition!
A little contest was held in the spirit of the holidays to where any department/program on campus was able to create their own Elf on the Shelf scene.
CKTC's leadership academy students went around campus and judged both in the morning and afternoon.
Congratulations to Auto Service Technology (morning) and Pre-Engineering (afternoon) for being voted on as the winners for this year's competition!
