CKTC opens new TDT facility

Caddo Kiowa Technology Center is proud to announce the opening of the new Truck Driving Training facility on their campus located in Fort Cobb. The facility, along with four trucks, were made possible by an ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) grant.

CKTC has been providing TDT training for 34 years, including CDL, bus certification training and other customized training for our industry partners. CKTC partners with Western Technology Center in Burns Flat to offer a full-time

training site for TDT students along with other technology centers such as Southwest Technology Center in Altus and Great Plains Technology Center in Lawton to provide CDL training as needed.

CKTC typically trains an average of 175 students per year across the state.

CKTC employees (current and former), board members, Oklahoma Department of Career Tech, Western Technology Center, Southwest Technology Center, Canadian Valley Technology Center, Representative Hassenbeck, Goldsby Construction, Design Architects Plus and former superintendent Tony Hancock celebrated the grand opening held on October 15, 2024.

CKTC’s superintendent Jennie Nunn stated, “We are excited to see the new facility on our campus and look forward to expanding our training opportunities across our state”.
