CKTC’s Biomedical Science Program has a long-standing partnership with Dr. Stefan Wilhelm and the Stephenson College of Biomedical Engineering at OU. Through a program called BE4NANO, CKTC’s Biomed students engage in high level labs with university faculty and students and are able to participate in a summer research camp to further their engagement in the Biomedical Engineering areas of study.
Today, our students participated in the extraction of gold nanoparticles. Students learned of the many everyday uses for gold nanoparticles including cancer treatments, COVID testing, and pregnancy testing.
